Our 2024 Event was a huge success. With 44 golfers and guests for dinner, we were able to raise over $100,000 for our students. We heard from one of our current scholarship recipients and one graduate recipient about their journeys and what impact they are able to make with the support of the YWC Scholarships. Thank you for all who attended, we are looking forward to another event in 2025!

Annual Golf Outing.
Our 2023 Event was a great day indeed. With 44 golfers and 80+ guests for dinner, we were able to raise over $110,000 for our students. We heard from one of our current scholarship recipients and one graduate recipient about their journeys and what impact they are able to make with the support of the YWC Scholarships.
2022 Was a Swinging Success! With 44 golfers and 80+ guests for dinner, we were able to raise over $120,000 for our students. We heard from two of our current scholarship recipients about their journeys and what impact they are able to make with the support of the YWC Scholarships. 2021 Golf Outing Donations: $125,000
Bi-Annual Wine Tasting at Cabernet & Company
Yes We CAN supporters shared in a delightful afternoon of learning about wines and sampling a wide array of selected vintages. Our hostess and the owner of Cabernet and Company, Alixe Lischett, was kind enough to donate a portion of proceeds from all wine purchases ($3000) to the YWC Foundation in support of our work. All 50 attendees eagerly await the next opportunity to try some wonderful wines and to spend time with other Yes We CAN supporters.
Dash for Detection.
Our Annual DASH for Detection team makes waves! We had a great team of 25 at Montrose Harbor on a beautiful June day! Big shout out to our runners who placed in their age groups - keep up the good work!
We walked and ran in support of the Rolfe Foundation, dedicated to the eradication of pancreatic cancer. Rolfe focuses on early detection of pancreatic cancer, the horrible disease that takes the lives of >47,000 Americans every year.
Young Adults Fundraiser.
The Nelson children organized our first-ever Young Adults Celebration at Kincade’s in downtown Chicago, and they were joined by 48 of their friends for an afternoon of camaraderie and celebration. These young adults are vitally important to the future success of the Yes We CAN Foundation, and we were so appreciative of their support, and for their generosity in donating to our cause that day, as they raised nearly $1500.
Thanksgiving Meal Deliveries.
Yes We CAN team members and their families partnered with Outreach Community Ministries to identify families to whom we could delivery pre-packaged Thanksgiving feasts for 8-10 people, including turkey and all the fixins’ and delicious dessert as well. It was wonderful to see the smiles on the faces of the children when we delivered these to families in West Chicago, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Carol Stream and Woodridge, and it served as a reminder to all of us how truly blessed we are.

YWC Basketball Fans teamed up to see if they could beat the odds. This annual event keeps us together around our larger events during the year.
